My second large shop is finished:
Pharmacy „Zum weißen Storch“ and Photographic Shop
For me as a chemist, the pharmacy is one of the most important shops with a lot of equipment of the former times, like „Laudanum“ or other drugs, you couldn’t be able to get today.
August Moll, the famous pharmacist of Vienna took on the pharmacy, which was founded in 1560. In 1872 he got the title of an „K. u. K. Hoflieferant“. By the way, Moll, who had a large chemical knowledge, conducted a photographic shop on the first floor, where he sold lots of accessories for the modern art of photography. He monthly published a paper called „Photographic notices“.
My version of the Pharmacy includes – besides the photographic shop – a little office, which serves as a photo studio for making portraits.
